Chapter 1 (28-08-2026)

Today, I actually made it to the office on time! 🥳 My morning started smoother than a buttered slide. 🧈 Though lately, my brain's been on a bit of a "distracted." 🏖️ Gotta reel it back in! 🎣

There are a lot of problems going on at home, and right now the biggest one is the divorce file I applied for. For the past year, my wife hasn't been living with me, and she and her family have all sorts of expectations and dreams, which seem impossible to fulfill if you want a normal family life. I've tried a lot to explain things to them.

Today my mother-in-law called me and wants to talk, and her biggest question is: how did I end up doing this (divorce file), do I have no love for my wife?
In their view, if a man loves his wife, he should fulfill all her demands and dreams first. Whatever his wife says, he has to always obey and follow in her way?

Is this really love? I honestly don't know how any parents could say such things. They are only busy assigning blame—focusing on what my parents and the rest of my family have done. My parents are to blame for everything happening today—what I am doing, or how others are treating me. And they want me to blame my parents and take everything away from them for her daughter's happiness. Why can't those parents teach their daughter what true love really is? Why don't they tell her that wealth and a house aren't the most important things in a marriage? The real essence of a marriage lies in living together.

I told them a lot of things to make them understand. I don’t know if they understood anything or if they interpreted my words differently. But somehow I feel that after hearing what I said, they might create other stories to avoid taking responsibility themselves. After staying apart like this for so long, if now they come to talk about reasons from a year ago, and if I ask what solutions exist for all these problems and they can’t give an answer, I don’t know how I’ll explain it to them.

My entire day went by trying to make them understand. Sometimes I wonder why I try so hard to explain things to them. But then, when I think of my wife, I realize just how much I love her.

I wrapped up my work and left the office for home at 6 PM. I wasn't in the right frame of mind; I just wanted to be alone for a while.
